Wanakita Fanily Camp WEbpage image 1

Bring the whole family and friends for this unique one week adventure. Include grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, best friends. Together you will rekindle, relax, rejuvenate and experience the exciting times that family camp has brought to week over three thousand families since 1969.

Arrive Sunday for lunch. Spend 7 great days together and depart the following Saturday after lunch.

More than just a great family vacation, Wanakita Family Camp is where you can renew and grow relationships with family and friends. It is where you come to camp (kids and parents together) and experience special time as a family.

Facilities
Family camp has its own distinct site on 'Wanakita East,' separate from the Resident and Day Camps operating on the West side of Wanakita since 1953. What to expect:

  • A family dining hall with fantastic food that will satisfy the needs of kids, adults and all those with special dietary needs
  • Rustic, comfortable, wood cabins for each family with bunkbeds or single beds, mattresses, shelving units, electricity
  • Centralized washhouses with showers
  • An amazing sand waterfront with docks for a variety of waterfront activities; fields, courts and wooded areas for all land-based programs
  • Access to fire pits and of course beautiful Koshlong Lake in the Highlands of Haliburton

Programs
Programs are designed to allow opportunities to participate on a recreational, instructional or social basis. Our programs are designed to be enjoyed with the whole family as well as programs specific to a particular age group (ie. ages 3-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-16 and adult). There is opportunity to do it all or just lay back and catch the summer sun.
